Hi, I'm Gilly!
As I type this, I'm sitting in my home studio all the way in Sweden, creating samples of beautiful products whilst admiring the view from the window of our rural farmhouse. Sometimes I have to pinch myself that this is my life!
With a love of snowboarding, EKA came about when I wanted something practical, stylish and cosy to keep my ears warm in the snow. Unable to find anything that met the bill and after having family and friends become jealous of my stylish knits, EKA was born.
Nowadays, the snowboarding has taken a backseat and my days are filled with designing new products like colourful mittens, cosy slipper socks and perfect gifts for babies; and of course, looking after my daughter Tilda and dog Penny.

From the very beginning, I knew I wanted to create something meaningful and ethical, that's why all our hand knitted and crocheted goodies are vegan and produced to the highest standards in partnership with a township called Auroville, India.
Working with Auroville has allowed me to concentrate on creating collections of beautifully hand crafted accessories for people and homes that are at the cutting edge of trends with an added gift to the buyer of sustainability and social conscience.
